Junkie fest 2020 is Cancelled

Image
Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I am announcing that, as of about an hour ago, the July Junkie fest 2020 event has been cancelled. My venue contacted me and  based on the predictions that this viral outbreak will likely not be contained until late summer,  have cancelled almost all events through the summer.  The State of Minnesota has closed all bars and restaurants, and has issued the recommendation that all non-essential gatherings of 10 or more people be cancelled. I have already discussed some possible dates for Junkie fest 2021 with my coordinator, but we will not be making a commitment until we see how these next several weeks progress.   It's absolutely surreal.   I am just heartbroken for all of the families and businesses, both small and large, that will suffer such a financial toll from the closures needed to slow this outbreak.  However, I guess I'd rather overreact on the side of safety of the public, than no...

Hello everyone! I know many of you have been very anxiously awaiting more details about Junkie fest 2020.  Since this year's event is at the same venue as 2019, I had hoped that planning would come together much more quickly and easily. But this has been a very crazy winter with a myriad of family things out of my control (both good and bad) that have definitely slowed my planning and communication progress.  I'm sorry.  I very truly appreciate your patience and all the Junkie fest "veterans" who have stepped in to answer questions when I wasn't available.   I have just a few more tiny details to work out in the next few weeks, but I'm ready to give you more final details about this event. Please note:  there may be slight adjustments to the following information.  The event is still some months away, and I'm bound to find something to share in another installment of my "Corrections" series. LOL Here are the quick event detai...

Junkie fest 2020 Event Info Corrections: Part One

Hello! I'm rather good at making mistakes, and I've made one that I need to correct; and since I'm quite sure I'll make more errors and typos, I'm going to call this post, Corrections: Part One, just to be safe. In my previous info post in February, I used the wrong classroom labels on half of my classes.  So for those of you that may have saved the previous info, and perhaps made a list of classes you may want to add to your class group, I need to let you know of the changes:  Anything previously labeled with C, should have been labeled D.  Anything labeled D should have been labeled E.  I was one room off on my map. The actual class groups and teachers and daily schedules have not changed.  Only half of the class identifying codes have. For the record, the Junkie fest 2020 event is still July 22-26, in Plymouth, Minnesota.  Registration and discounted hotel room block will be available in mid-April. Here are the CORRECTED groups with the corr...
